Dr Tiana Templeman is a Brisbane-based travel author, award-winning freelance journalist, cruise columnist, travel copywriter, radio presenter, media industry educator and Doctor of Journalism. She is also the Managing Editor of The Travel Temple.

Tiana is the creator of The Travel Temple and contributes to media outlets including Escape, The Australian, Explore Travel, NZ Herald, Cruise Critic, Australian Traveller, BBC Travel, Jetsetter, The New Daily, Travel Associates, International Traveller, Flight Centre, SilverKris, Active Retirees, Holidays for Couples, and MiNDFOOD. She also appears on radio talking about where to visit, what to see, and travel industry trends.

Tiana is also a specialist tourism industry copywriter and has worked with clients including Tourism Australia, Cruise Critic, Flight Centre, 9Travel, Intrepid, Tourism & Events Queensland, News Studio, and Storyation.

As a media spokesperson and journalism industry academic Tiana has delivered ‘Working with the Media’ courses for Tourism & Events Queensland and lectured at the Queensland University of Technology. She has taught face-to-face workshops and on-line for organisations such as Queensland Writers Centre and is a regular panellist at industry events. Tiana has also travelled around Australia and beyond as a Destination Lecturer for Celebrity Cruises.

Tiana holds a Master of Creative Industries and a PhD on ‘Freelance Journalism in the 21st Century’. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
